Specialized Training in Osteoporosis Management
Justin is a graduate of the University of Toronto with a Bachelors of Physical and Health Education (2009) and Master of Science in Physical Therapy (2011). Justin began his journey into healthcare as a student athlete competing in Competitive Lifesaving and Simulated Emergency Response. He has experience as a team therapist in Track and Field and Cross Country Running, and extensive hospital experience in Cardiology and Cardiac Rehabilitation, Paediatric Rheumatology, Falls Prevention, and Complex Continuing Care.
Justin's first exposure to Myofascial Release was as a student when he shadowed an Expert Level Therapist for 5 weeks as part of his clinical training. From that moment he knew that this approach to health and wellness and treatment of the human BEING would provide him with rich learning opportunities to grow alongside his patients. He approaches every new interaction with this goal in mind.
Some career highlights include publication in Physiotherapy Canada, volunteer work as a Reiki practitioner in Palliative Care at a local hospital, and participation in an international research project on the effects of an evidence based exercise and behavioural intervention program on people suffering from vertebral fractures due to Osteoporosis.
