No matter what your mindset or medical condition may be, there is one thing that everyone has in common: the desire to move unrestricted.
Marisa created her practice, Myodiversity, to provide myofascial release & movement therapies which enable participation in the life her clients envision for themselves. That looks different for everyone, but often requires overcoming some type of chronic pain or movement limitation.
No stranger to chronic pain, Marisa knows the frustration and worry that accompany flare ups, and the isolation that can result from not knowing if your body is capable of performing a desired task. She came across a flyer for myofascial release while interning at an inpatient rehab hospital during her doctoral training, and put it on her list of must try therapies. Myofascial release has changed her life in so many ways, but the most empowering benefit was learning simple self-treatment techniques to maintain each session's performance gains. In her +8 years of working with adults over 50 as a yoga instructor, personal trainer, and rehab therapist, myofascial release has done more to support healing and improve movement ability in her clients than any other technique she has tried.
Located within the gym facility of BFit & Well, Marisa is able to assist clients in forming healthy habits, taking independent control of their health through self-treatment, and practicing healthy movement patterns within the gym.
