Sheri Brimm PT has over 24 years experience as a PT and began her John Barnes MFR training in 2010. She has extensive pediatric experience and a love for working with children with special needs such as autism, sensory disorders, developmental delays.
She treats clients of all ages having worked in PT in many settings including acute care, home health, skilled nursing, rehabilitation hospital, outpatient orthopedics, and schools / outpatient pediatrics. MFR is powerful work for everyone young and old and people of all ages can be helped even if their conditions are very chronic and began early in life.
Sheri now works full time at New Beginnings Myofascial Therapy, in Cookeville TN focusing on empowering her clients in self care techniques and exercises as well as hands on powerful MFR therapy. She has attended MFR 1, MFR2, Unwinding, Advanced Unwinding, Fascial Pelvis, Cervical Thoracic, Rebounding, Pediatrics, and Women's Health and is licensed as a PT to be able to do internal (vaginal/rectal) techniques. She has also completed Skills Enhancement Seminar in Sedona Arizona at Therapy on the Rocks. Sheri also teaches self care/unwinding yoga classes at Synergy Yoga Studio to help clients further their self care and self release skills. While I am not in network with insurance companies to do direct billing, I can provide receipts for some clients to do self claims. Sheri Brimm, PT has been a full time practicing Physical Therapist since graduating with a BHS in 1993. She has worked in many settings including hospitals, nursing homes, schools, outpatient clinics, pediatric clinics, and home health. Her Myofascial Release therapist training with John Barnes began in 2010. She has been practicing full time with J. Barnes MFR techniques since 2012. Sheri opened New Beginnings Myofascial Therapy LLC in 2013 with the heart to provide PT/MFR and wellness services to clients with a special focus on the highly effective myofascial release techniques and empowering clients in self care techniques and exercises.
She also teaches group classes at Synergy Yoga studio in Cookeville TN.

SERVICES: Physical therapy services are cash pay but some insurances clients may be able to submit out of network self-claims for physical therapy.
Check, Credit Card, and Cash are accepted. Some clients may use flexible health spending accounts.
Clients may attend direct access for evaluation, but will need further paperwork signed by a physician, chiropractor, or other medical primary care provider as per state of TN PT Direct access laws.
PEDIATRICS: Sheri has a special love and skill with working with infants and children with developmental delays, gross motor/sensory disorders, autism, cerebral palsy, scoliosis, and other conditions.
WOMEN's/MEN's Health: Sheri is now offering women's and men's internal work with physician orders required prior to beginning treatment. This treatment benefits anyone who has had birthing related trauma, abdominal or pelvic surgeries including hysterectomy, tubal ligation, episiotomy, injuries to the tailbone (coccyx), etc.
GENERAL PHYSICAL THERAPY: Most conditions benefit from MFR treatment and I have been especially skilled and experienced in working with acute or chronic spine / joint pain, fibromyalgia, dizziness, headaches, TMJ, rotator cuff / shoulders, whiplash, and falls/injuries to sacral or tailbone area.
Sheri welcomes the addition of Tanya Bodsford, PTA to her growing staff. Tanya will soon be also dual licensed as an LMT. Tanya has also received John Barnes training in MFR 1, 2, Unwinding.
