Grace started out in the medical field as an occupational therapist in 1989. It was frustrating that there were so few ways to help people in pain. It did not seem right that the standard answer was to "learn to live with the pain." Then she had an injury which caused pain to the extent that daily medication was needed. Grace took Myofascial Release I in January 2005 as a continuing education class, and was hooked on MFR. The pain was significantly better! No more routine pain medicine! She had to travel home to go to work on Monday, but traveled from DFW to Houston the following weekend for Myofascial Release II. And since that time she has taken Myofascial Unwinding, Advanced Myofascial Unwinding, Rebounding, Fascial-Pelvis MFR, Cervical-Thoracic MFR, Pediatric MFR, Myofascial Mobilization, Equine Myofascial Release, and Skill Enhancement Seminar. She has repeated some of the courses 2-3 times. Grace obtained her massage therapist license to enable her to reach more people, as a physician's referral is required for occupational therapy in Texas. Clients may arrange for massage therapy directly, without needing a doctor's referral.
