Expert MFR Practitioner

Licensed as an Occupational Therapist specializing in John Barnes Myofascial Release Therapy, I founded Therapeutic Relief in 1999. I work with a variety of clients including those with chronic pain and neurological dysfunction. Collaborating with other practitioners including Pilates instructors, I have developed a unique approach of meeting the needs of my clients while incorporating the mind/body connection. It is my goal to teach my clients about body awareness while helping to guide them through their healing journey. My educational background includes a Bachelor of Science degree in Occupational Therapy from the University of Puget Sound. I am certified in Neurodevelopmental Treatment (NDT) and have completed advanced training in Myofacial Release Therapy. I enjoy spending time outdoors enjoying nature. My hobbies include hiking, gardening, cooking and spending time with my husband and two daughters.

Licensed Massage Therapist specializing in John Barnes Myofascial Release Therapy.

As a young adult I struggled with debilitating chronic pain, neurological symptoms and depression. Frustrated by years of doctor's visits, prescriptions and alternative therapy that led nowhere, I had lost hope until I encountered Myofascial Therapy. Immediately, I felt it was different than all the other methods I had tried before. For the first time in years I felt relief from pain and a glimmer of hope. After working with a John Barnes Myofascial Therapist I started to gain my life back. I had always planned to be in the medical field and after my own experience with chronic pain my path was clear, I wanted to pursue a career in Myofascial Therapy.

Through my recovery I also discovered Pilates, which helped me regain my strength and love of movement. After experiencing how the two methods complement each other; working with the fascial system to find authentic healing and then re educating the body through movement. I pursued Pilates training under a Balance Body Master Instructor and Physical Therapist. I have worked with a variety of clients with issues stemming from acute injuries to chronic pain, as well as autoimmune disorders, depression and anxiety. ?Incorporating my Pilates training has helped my clients find healthy efficient movement. My goal as a therapist is to help the client find freedom to move!
