Kim received her Master of Science Degree in Physical Therapy from Regis University, Denver Colorado, in 1998. She became manual therapy certified (MTC) through the University of St. Augustine in 2003. She received her Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT), with an emphasis in orthopedic manual therapy, also from the University of St. Augustine in 2007. Since moving to Alaska in 2008, Kim completed a second orthopedic manual therapy certification (COMT) through the International Academy of Orthopedic Medicine (IAOM-US).
Kim is an expert level myofascial release practitioner utilizing the John F. Barnes Myofascial Release Approach. She also specializes in the evaluation and treatment of the spine and extremities, womens health, and mens pelvic health issues. She has been a Certified Kinesio-taping practitioner (CKTP) since 2003 and strongly advocates the use of Kinesio-taping for both acute and chronic injuries. For the past 15 years, Kim has been devoted to enhancing the health and wellness of the communities she serves.
